We are based within the popular King George V Playing Field,
off Peter Grant Way, Church Road, Ferndown, BH22 9EN

Our rink is on the right hand side as you enter through the  main gates, the club house is in the main building, facing the rink entrance.

The Club was founded in 1962 as a separate Ferndown Men’s Bowling Club and later a Women’s Section was formed. In 2009 the two clubs were amalgamated to form Ferndown Bowls Club, we are Affiliated to the following Associations: -
Bowls England,                   Bowls Dorset,
B&DBA --  (Bournemouth and District Bowling Association)
B&DWBA --  (Bournemouth and District Women's Bowling Association).

We play traditional English Lawn Bowls with an excellent green (six rinks) maintained by the local council. We boast  one of the finest bowling greens in the Bournemouth area, and have an excellent club house where we hold our Social functions with good companionship. New members and visiting clubs are made very welcome.

Our President’s/Charity Day is one of the highlights of the season.

We are a mixed gender club with an active Membership between 70 to 80 Playing, Associate/Social members.  We pride ourselves on our friendly approach to playing bowls.  On a weekly basis throughout the season, we hold fun competitions and roll ups which cater for all abilities and experience.

That is not to say that there is not a competitive side to the club. There are Ladies and Men's teams playing in the Bournemouth & District, Dorset Leagues, Edna Paisley League (Ladies over 60) and Percy Baker Leagues (Men over 65).

In addition we have organised internal individual and teams competitions, some of which are on a mixed gender basis.
All our Club Cup Competitions are completed on our Finals Day held towards the end of our Summer Season with all trophies being given out at our End of Season/Presentation Luncheon held at the end of October.

Ferndown Bowls Club will be holding an Open day this year, which will combine with a 5 week course (small charge apply's) these are to encourage new Members and are normally well attended.  This will be on going, anyone interested can just turn on a Friday at 2.00 and will last for 2 hours.
