About FERNDOWN BOWLS CLUB

OUR Club

Ferndown Bowling Club was founded in 1962 as a Men’s Bowling Club. Later, Ferndown Ladies’ Bowling Club was formed. In 2009 the two clubs were amalgamated to form Ferndown Bowls Club.

We play traditional English Lawn Bowls with an excellent green (six rinks) maintained by the local council. We boast one of the finest bowling greens in the Bournemouth area, and have an excellent club house where we hold our Social functions. New members and visiting clubs are always very welcome.

We have an active Membership between 90 to 100 Playing, Associate and Social members, as well as a Youth Section and we  are affiliated to the following Associations:

  • Bowls England,
  • Bowls Dorset,
  • Bournemouth and District Bowling Association
  • Bournemoth & District Women’s Bowling Association
