President’s / Captains’ day proved to be one for the memory book. It was great day. Seventy members, family and friends lined up for “Last Man Standing.” Six teams of competing to be the last person in their team to be knocked out.
President Geoff blew the whistle to start us off. Laughter and groans could be heard across the green.
During the break, we were treated to a wonderful “Afternoon Tea”, with rounds of delicious sandwiches, wonderful cakes and scrumptious scones. A raffle completed the afternoon. Funds raised totalled £600 which will support the purchase of a mobility seat and ramp.
The play saw some fabulous shots. The 6 remaining players were knocked out one by one leaving Graham Temple as this year’s LAST MAN STANDING!!

Thanks must go to our President/ Men’s Captain, Geoff Cave, and Captains , Sue Aplin, and Nigel Bunton for arranging such a fun afternoon. Also, a huge thanks to the umpires who adjudicated the ends throughout the afternoon. Finally, thanks also goes to the Social Committee Ladies who provided the food and manned the Kitchen.
