FINALS DAY 2025

It’s been a really lovely couple of days with perfect weather.  The predicted parking issues never materialised and the only impact from the events on the field was a stray football landing on the green.

I have a list of people to thank, all of them are heartfelt.  Firstly to all those who came up to the green to watch and support, creating a great atmosphere and sense of excitement, thank you.  Thank you to those who arrived early and stayed late to help set up the rinks and close the green and clubhouse at the end.  Angela Baggs and her team did a fantastic job catering both days and taking over the kitchen duties (even the washing up), thank you!  Thanks also to all those who marked or sat by the scoreboards, sometimes for many hours.  As ever, John Rumball gave up his time to be on hand as umpire and whatever else was needed from start to finish on both days, thank you again.  I’m also very grateful to Anne and Ken Hutton for being on hand to support on both days, and taking the photos.

And finally, thank you to all those who entered the competitions, whether you made it to the final games or not, without you these tournaments wouldn’t happen.  And on that note, here are the results from this year’s finals games:
